About Us

Borgo Danilo Dolci is a cultural and research center established to preserve, develop, and update the thought and work of Danilo Dolci, educator, poet, and sociologist, a key figure in twentieth-century civic engagement and participatory pedagogy.

The Borgo operates as a place of cultural development, training, and artistic production, promoting educational, social, and creative practices based on listening, dialogue, and the active participation of individuals and communities. The Center’s activities are inspired by the principles of mutual maieutics, nonviolence, and collective responsibility, understood as concrete tools for social transformation.

Through educational projects, artistic residencies, training programs, public meetings, exhibitions, and research activities, Borgo Danilo Dolci presents itself as an open and inclusive space, capable of connecting culture, art (music, dance, theater, literature, and the visual arts), local community, and active citizenship, fostering processes of shared and informed growth.
